Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Throughout my life, I have chose "Pro-Life" for myself. As a result, I had three out of my four children. However, I understand this issue splits the nation down the middle. Due to this, I must be pro-choice for those I will represent.
No Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
Yes Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing the federal budget. In order to balance the budget,

Yes do you support reducing defense spending?
Yes do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes do you support reducing Medicaid spending?
Yes do you support reducing Medicare spending?
Yes Is balancing the budget a legislative priority?
I believe we need to tax "Capital Gains" the same as "Earned Income", including FICA and Medicare/Medicaid contributions. Reductions in Medicare/Medicaid should be made by means testing. We need to balance the budget by a combination of revenue increases and spending reduction.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
No Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Yes Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
Yes Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
Yes Do you support the temporary extension of unemployment benefits?
Yes Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief?
The Government created the economic down turn and they should clean up the mess.
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
The Federal Government and the States should eliminate testing requirements. Testing should be left up to teachers. Funding from the Federal Government should be fair and equal.
No Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production?
I believe the increased restrictions will produce a climate of less risk of accidents and actually create an economic boom for the safety industry that evolves from it.
Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
I'm not sure whether greenhouse emissions contribute to climate change or not. However, I do feel we need to reduce these emissions as we do all pollution.
Yes Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
I do not believe we need to possess military style, Automatic or large caliber weapons.
No Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
Yes Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
The 2010 Affordable Care Act is a good start that needs to be adjusted upon as time goes on.
No Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Yes Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?
Yes Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
This problem needs to be high on our list of things to do. We need to implement a road to citizenship for those who are here working and obeying our laws, secure the boarders and allow state and local police to insure we move forward, adhering to immigration laws.
Yes Do you support same-sex marriage?
The marriage issue should be left up to the churches. The Government, both Federal and State, should even use the word "marriage". If the Government wants to give special consideration to individuals who create unions, then sexual preference should not be a consideration.
Yes Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
No Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon?
No Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
